We wish to appoint a passionate researcher to undertake advanced applied research in novel single and multibeam antennas/arrays in the W-band and sub- THz frequencies for high capacity wireless link for 6G.

This is a six month appointment with possibility of extension depending on fundings.

Your will work in close collaboration with the research group at Lancaster by using facilities at TWT Fab (https:// wp.lancs.ac.uk/sub-thz-electronics/) at the School of Engineering and with national and international partners to design and realize emerging W-band and sub-THz X-haul (backhaul, midhaul and fronthaul) wireless systems using novel and state-of-the-art single, multibeam and beam scanning/switching antennas.

Experience in the use of three dimensional electromagnetic simulators (CST, HFSS), 3D mechanical CAD and knowledge of RF technology is essential.

Substantial experience in antenna measurements is required for the Senior Research Associate position.

We will offer specific training and support in any area that requires it.

You should hold a PhD in relevant disciplines or have industry experience preferably in the antenna sector.

Lancaster University provides university bus services making it convenient for the students and employees to commute. Further, the M6 motorway is only a five minutes' drive from the campus. It takes 10 minutes to drive to the West Coast Main Line that connects the city to London, Scotland, and Manchester.

    The academic structure of the university consists of undergraduate degree programs, postgraduate courses, research, and doctoral level programs. The acclaimed staff of the university guides the students into international level research centered on humanities, business subjects, natural sciences, modern languages, social sciences, and technology. Some other noble laureates of the university are Roger Ashton-Griffiths (actor), Andrew Brooke Miller (Novelist), Catherine Jane Smith (a member of British Labour Party), Lucy Jane Briers (actor), Andy Serkis (actor and director), Bruce Sewell (former counsel of Apple).
