Design and develop research projects, in vitro and in vivo experimental work, data interpretation, including collaborative projects

The postdoctoral research associate will aid Dr. Jordan in infectious bronchitis virus and coccidia vaccine and therapeutic research. This research will include trial design, animal husbandry, data collection and analysis, and reporting.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

A PhD in poultry infectious disease or Poultry Science or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

A working knowledge of the commercial US poultry industry is preferred. Knowledge of basic animal husbandry, sample collection, proper BSL-2 safety precautions, and basic statistical analysis is preferred. Use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Demands

Stand for long periods of time. Lift grown chickens (5-8lbs) repeatedly.
