Deputy Programme Lead for the Hong Kong Flying Faculty and Senior Lecturer in Health and Professional Development

£45,585 rising to £56,021 with three spine points for additional duties for 0.5FTE of the post Full Time, Permanent - Academic

We are looking an experienced Senior Lecturer to join our Public Health, Management, and Professional Development in Health and Social Care team. We teach students across five Masters and two BSc programmes in class, online and in Hong Kong. We also provide CPD short courses for health and social care professionals in the fields of public health, management in health and social care and nursing leadership. Many of our students are international and come from a range of clinical and non-clinical backgrounds. The role is 0.5FTE as the Deputy Programme Lead and the remaining 0.5FTE will involve programme delivery for students on online and UK programmes. We are also keen to appoint someone who will drive the development of new continuing professional development for health and social care professionals. Overall purpose of post:

• To deliver high-quality education in the areas of management, leadership and evidence-based practice in health and social care for healthcare staff in Hong Kong and within the Department of Psychology, Health and Professional Development

• To lead on the organisation and day-to-day management of intensive schools in collaboration with our Hong Kong partner and the Programme Lead

• To develop the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences provision of Continuing Professional Development for health and social care professionals

Qualifications required:

Applicants should hold a higher degree (MSc or higher) in a health-related field

Experience required:

For this post we need the following:

• Work at Senior Lecturer level or higher

• Experience teaching health or social care undergraduates and postgraduate students

• Experience of managing a team

• Good organisational skills

• The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders

• Commitment to delivering a high-quality student experience
