The AUM Career Development Center is seeking a current AUM graduate or undergraduate student to assist with a research project for the CDC. This is a temporary, 20-hours per week assignment beginning Mon., May 29th and ending Fri., July 28th. Students of any major are welcome to apply. The CDC Research Assistant will report directly to the Director of Career Development, and work closely with the other CDC Team Members. This is a paid position, $9.50/hour.

Duties and Responsibilities: Research internship opportunities found at local, regional and global organizations whose qualifications correspond with academic programs of study at AUM. Search online sources, such as LinkedIn, Handshake, and organizational websites to find internship information. Compile internships discovered in a shared database for students and campus departments who work directly with students to view. Work with the Manager of Employer and Student Engagement and the CDC Team to promote internship opportunities to AUM students through social media and other outlets. Greet visitors to the Career Development Center, obtain appropriate registration data and direct visitors to the appropriate team member. Assist Career Development Center team members with various career services, including Handshake administration, on-campus job search assistance, career advising activities, campus presentations, employer recruitment events, and job search documentation review (resumes, cover letters, etc.).

Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Auburn University at Montgomery academic programs Research and analysis skills Ability to mutli-task and respond to competing demands Strong professional work ethic with ability to meet prescribed deadlines Communication skills Customer service skills Experience using Instagram for promotional activities is a plus
