  • About the Role

    Are you ready to step into an exciting role as a VE Services Officer at the College of Vocational Education? In this exciting position, you'll be at the heart of a shared services model, offering you the opportunity to be a versatile and adaptable member of the team. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, making every day a new learning experience. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality administrative support to various College departments, including Planning & Resources, Learning & Teaching Innovation, Quality, and Partnerships. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in supporting education delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

    But that's not all! You'll be a customer service superstar, as you interact with both staff and students. Your role will involve coordinating and facilitating various activities, such as student lifecycle services, course and program management, information management, events, and process improvement initiatives. In this role, you'll gain exposure to subject matter expertise and build a breadth of experience that will help you grow both professionally and personally.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders.

  • High-level communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, working effectively within a dynamic small team environment.

  • Proven administrative experience and planning, organising and prioritising work in a busy environment with multiple and conflicting priorities and competing deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to use information and communication technologies effectively, including Microsoft suite, web and email software and database use.

  • Relevant qualification and/or relevant customer service and administration experience.

The shared services model which underpins this team is designed to assist with flexible resourcing and service delivery to meet the cadence, requirements and nature of University business.

    The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology usually known as RMIT University is a research university established in Melbourne, Australia.
