University Assistant/Associate Professor in Automation Systems

Applications are invited for a University Assistant or Associate Professorship in Automation Systems. The field of this post is in the general area of understanding and addressing the needs of industry in responding to rapid changes in industrial automation and robotics technologies and application domains.

You will be required to develop a record of world-class research related to emerging industrial trends commensurate with the Department's long-standing international reputation in this area. The role will require a balance of teaching, research and administrative duties. For teaching, responsibilities will include full participation in the design and delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student projects (including team-based industrial placements), examining, and supervising post-graduate research students. This role will be based at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) in West Cambridge.

In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a small supplement to the salary range stated for these roles for a five-year period.
