The Opportunity
The Department of Materials Engineering is seeking to appoint an outstanding Technical Officer to provide a variety of professional and high-quality technical services and assistance to researchers and staff in the Woodside Energy FutureLab at Monash, and other associated research groups within Materials Science and Engineering at Monash University.
As the Technical Officer, you will be working within a state-of-the-art facility for near net-shape additive manufacturing.
Your responsibilities will include:
If you have an engineering trade certificate or demonstrated experience in the processing and mechanical testing of metals, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and academic and general staff within the Centre and with other University staff, we encourage you to apply.
Well-developed organisational skills, specifically in the short-term planning and scheduling of laboratory work, in consultation with the researchers, will be essential to your success in this role.
