    The University of Northampton is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to join the Human Resources Department.

    The Talent Acquisition Manager is a member of the Human Resources senior leadership team. The post holder will provide effective, timely and inclusive recruitment and selection services across the University. In particular.

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining a compelling and inspiring brand image, making the University an employer of choice for prospective employees.
  • Ensuring the University engages with the widest and most diverse pool of potential employees to fill vacancies.
  • Designing and delivering fair, transparent and inclusive selection methodologies.
  • Developing and operating efficient and timely recruitment and selection processes to minimise time and cost to recruit.
  • Leading on senior level recruitment and selection assignments.
  • Tracking metrics such as time to hire, cost of hire, application rates, to address improvements.

    About You

    You'll look beyond organisational boundaries to work with diverse talent pools, you will create and implement an effective talent strategy. This strategy will need to support end to end talent development activity, identifying and attracting the best talent and adding value to our employer brand.

    You will have an excellent understanding of how to build organisational capability through effective talent management and have significant experience in designing and delivering inclusive selection methodologies. You will also be a confident communicator with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders and customers, building effective relationships with both internal and external customers.


    Desirable - A degree or professional qualification e.g., CIPD (or equivalent)

    Human Resources are responsible for the development of the University's HR policies, strategies and procedures covering all aspects of people management, recruitment and selection, pay and conditions, management development and employment relations. The department is made up of the following teams: Corporate, Business Partnering, Payroll and Staff Development.

In 1924, Northampton Technical College was established and with constant evolution, the University of Northampton was founded in 2005 after the amalgamation of a host of training colleges.
