Position Summary

Job Summary

The Biology Department is working with Bluebird Atelier. Bluebird Atelier is a learning studio that offers educational enrichment through the arts and STEM. Located in downtown Lewisburg, Bluebird aims to engage and nurture the many intelligences of the young and young at heart. This position is considered non-exempt by FLSA standards.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Supporting Lead Teacher and/or Assistant Teacher with development, setup, and cleanup of studio activities
  • Supporting with facilitating learning activities with small groups or 1-on-1 with students
  • Supporting teachers with walking groups of children from studio to nearby parks during the camp day and assisting with outdoor activities
  • Assisting with drop-off and pick-up of students at the beginning and end of the camp day (8:45am-9am, and 3pm-3:15pm), which entails supporting the teacher's supervision of students and getting children safely into their adult's care.

    Experience No experience is required.

    Physical Demand

    Work is performed off campus. Ability to talk and to hear instruction. Requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach, as well as the occasional sitting, walking, stooping, crouching, and bending. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift 10+ pounds.
