We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team of Student Support and Guidance Tutors (SSGTs) on a fixed term (maternity cover) basis. This role offers you the opportunity of making a genuine and tangible difference to the university and learning experience of our students.

SSGTs enhance student engagement and retention by providing non-judgmental, 1 on 1 help and support on a range of issues in-person and remotely via MS Teams. As well as sign posting to a range of centralised services you will be comfortable providing emotional support to students and advising on academic processes. You will be responsible for promoting your service to staff and students, including representing the service during welcome week and be a key link between the school and Student Operations and Support. As an SSGT you will be expected to log student enquiries and interactions on the SID online database.

As a member of the SSGT team you will be managed by the Student Wellbeing Team in the Student Operations and Support Department. The successful candidate will work with students in the School of Education at our Falmer campus.

This is a full time fixed term maternity cover position and the expected end date of the fixed term contract is June 2024.
