We have a supportive, friendly, and dynamic working environment and we are looking for experienced advisors to join our new team supporting students who may have additional needs due to their personal and/or practical circumstances and those who disclose experiencing unacceptable behaviour, including bullying, discrimination, hate incident/crime, and sexual misconduct.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new area of Information, Advice and Participation Services, delivering holistic and empathetic support to our diverse student population; raising awareness of services available; and providing outreach and education on a number of student services areas, using a student-focused and trauma-informed approach that puts diversity and inclusion at its core and strives for continuous improvement.

You will have substantial experience of supporting individuals in a confidential setting; an in depth understanding of a diverse population of service users and of working with those who have experienced unacceptable behaviour. You will have worked with and understand risk and needs assessments; experience of managing confidential casework as well as your own workload without constant supervision; and of working collaboratively in a team environment. You will be able to write clearly and concisely; have excellent IT skills; be highly literate and numerate; and have experience of project management. The University of Greenwich was established in 1890 at Woolwich Polytechnic and received its first CGLI certificate in 1892. In 1992, the institution gained the status of a university and was renamed as the University of Greenwich.
