Annual Leave : 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

We are seeking to appoint a Student Success Officer to join the University's Widening Access and Student Success (WASS) team, which is passionate about empowering student success, challenging inequalities and transforming lives.
WASS is a friendly and forward-thinking team, comprised of four sub-teams. Data and Evaluation which supports the delivery of our Access and Participation Evaluation Strategy and drives our ‘What Works' approach to access and participation; Widening Access and Uni Connect which support pupil aspiration and attainment through their outreach work in targeted primary and secondary schools across Hertfordshire; and Student Success which works collaboratively with colleagues across the University to close gaps in student outcomes by addressing the barriers that contribute to lower rates of attainment, continuation, and progression for under-represented groups.
Main duties and responsibilities
As a Student Success Officer working in the Student Success team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Student Success portfolio of work which supports students from disadvantaged and under-represented groups to be successful in higher education. The role includes delivering tailored support to one or more of our target student groups (which include Independent (Estranged) and Care Leaver students) and ensuring an evidence-informed, student-focused approach to all aspects of our work.
Skills and experience required
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual with a commitment to improving student outcomes through inclusive and personalised student support, capable of working both independently and collaboratively. You will have highly effective communication skills, with excellent organisational and administrative skills. You will also be a capable and confident user of information technology, including MS Office.
Qualification required
You will hold a minimum of a degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification) or higher, or significant relevant proven experience.

In addition, it has also produced many eminent sports personalities such as Ajaz Akhtar, who is a British cricketer and Noah Cato, who is a rugby union player.
