We are currently recruiting for the following positions on our Exeter campuses:
The standard hours for this post are 0.8 FTE (29.2 per week), 7.3 hours per day, working 4 days per week (suggested Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri). Please note some Saturday working will be required on a rota basis (term time only) with a day off in lieu provided where Saturdays are worked.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home on a rota basis.
As an essential frontline service, the Student Information Desk prioritises on campus working and you will be asked initially to work fully on campus for the first 2 – 3 months depeding on progress to ensure in-person training and support handling a broad range of enquiries. Trained SID advisors then work in a hybrid fashion on a rota basis: (example: 3 days on campus, 2 at home subject to service needs).
Summary of the role
The post offers an exciting opportunity for highly-motivated individuals with a keen interest in providing excellent customer service to students in all matters relating to non-academic support at all levels. We are looking for individuals who can work towards continuously improving the student and academic experience across the student life cycle.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service, IT and communication skills (in person, via telephone and via written enquiry), as well as someone who is capable of using an enquiry management system. You have will excellent attention to detail and experience of working collaboratively in a team to deliver multiple objectives and high service standards.
