THE ROLE
Macquarie University College is seeking to appoint an experienced and energetic Student Engagement Coordinator.
Reporting to the Student Services Team Leader and collaborating with a range of College and University stakeholders, the Engagement Coordinator will plan, develop and coordinate, and deliver an integrated student engagement program for domestic and international students at the College.
You will deliver a range of highly engaging social, cultural and belonging activities and events to support students through their journey from onboarding to graduation and successful transition into their degree. With the support of volunteers, you will deliver and oversee student engagement activities, communications and events across the student lifecycle. You will also use your networking skills to build and maintain relationships across the University.
About You
Drawing on your experience gained in a similar role, ideally within the Higher Education sector, you will work with broad direction from your supervisor, show initiative and anticipate requirements, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met. With a high level of energy, you will have outstanding communication skills and a keen attention to detail. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and be experienced in event coordination, delivery of social programs and activities. You will have demonstrated experiences of working proactively in a team within a flexible and fast-paced environment. If you have experience with and are confident engaging with student issues, particularly with the needs of younger students and international students, this is a role you will thrive in.
Duties:
Coordinate the planning and implementation of an integrated student engagement program to maximize the student experience and sense of belonging through impactful social and transition activities.
Coordinate and deliver student events such as orientation, graduation, certificate ceremonies, student recruitment events, Open Day, etc with student volunteers and other staff.
Develop detailed plans for student engagement, drive progress on deliverables, and manage any changes in scope, timeframes and stakeholder management.
Build effective and collegial relationships and liaise with the central student support and service delivery areas of the University.
Proactively work with central University areas to identify opportunities for College students to develop their skills and experience.
Develop and maintain relevant sections of the College website, liaising closely with Group Marketing, and the Global and Domestic Student Recruitment team.
Coordinate the local student communications strategy in partnership with Group Marketing.
Develop and maintain knowledge of the University's brand identity and guidelines to ensure compliance.
Maintain accurate records of events and manage a small budget.
Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.
Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.

A relevant degree or relevant experience.
Knowledge of students and the tertiary education environment.
Demonstrated experience in project management with an understanding of the project lifecycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, developing and coordinating an integrated student engagement program of events for international and domestic students.
Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, organising and delivering multiple student events (orientation, graduations, student recruitment, engagement events).
Demonstrated skills and experience in coordinating and implementing a student communications strategy, using social media and programs to send out bulk communications across the student lifecycle.
Demonstrated skills and experience with student management systems; event management, CRM and communication systems (e.g., Event apps, Cvent, Marketo, Survey Monkey, Citrix, Moodle, RTO manager, Microsoft Office suite).
Demonstrated skills and experience in coordinating and managing staff and volunteers.
