The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Stationary Engineer to join our Oshawa Assembly - Powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Required to safely and efficiently operate, maintain and repair high pressure steam gas fired boilers, air compressors and all auxiliary equipment in a first-class power plant

  • Able to trouble shoot and perform routine maintenance on various operational equipment

  • Perform the duties of the lead shift engineer as required

    Who We Are Looking For:

  • Possession of a valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer's certificate

  • Able to work on a rotating shift schedule (24/7/365)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Computer Proficient

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Energetic and self-motivated

  • Familiar with the operation and maintenance of large air compressors

  • Working knowledge of DCS Controls

  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Compensation: Starting at a full rate of $44.61/hr

  • Plus you will earn an afternoon shift premium of 5%, a night shift premium of 10%, paid overtime and an annual bonus in accordance with the collective agreement
