Sr. Propulsion System Engineer

Your Role:

As the Sr Engineer Propulsion System , you'll be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to develop the industrial leading propulsion system, bring the conceptual design to production. Basically, you'll ensure that current and future FF vehicle programs successfully launched with the efficient, powerful and reliable propulsion system.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing powertrain overview Jama project, including propulsion system features, powertrain system technical specification and summarizing FuSa at propulsion system level
  • Responsible for HV system architecture analysis and resolving HV system level issues,
  • Define interface among propulsion, vehicle dynamics, body control, ADAS and UIUX
  • Develop drivetrain system requirement, including features and FuSa analysis
  • Responsible for vehicle level EPA range testing (aero drag, coast down and dyno testing)
  • Develop charging system level requirement including functional, electrical and mechanical requirement
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Master in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in your field
  • Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for electric vehicle propulsion system including batteries, electric motor, drives, power electronics, and HV components
  • Deep knowledge in EV propulsion system architecture, HV system architecture, energy flow, efficiency improvement plan
  • Strong familiarity with propulsion system requirement, modeling, and system control algorithm
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise with successfully EV propulsion system launch
  • A diverse skillset including hands on experiences in high voltage hardware and software development
  • A wide range of experience with good understanding of EV propulsion system
  • Familiar with EV drivetrain system engineering
  • Knowledge in functional safety analysis and ISO26262 for EV propulsion system
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
  • A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
  • A true sense of determination… and hopefully a sense of humor
  • Annual Salary Range:

    ($130,000 - $169,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
