About the Role – You will:
Inspect facilities and equipment periodically to determine problems and
necessary maintenance course of actions.
Prepare and monitor progress on maintenance schedules (i.e., daily,
weekly, etc.) and ensure those schedules are achieved.
Research and source the necessary experts (i.e., electricians, plumbers,
vendors, etc.) during installations, repairs or maintenance
Receive and review invoices.
Paint and patch walls, hang fixtures, trouble shoot equipment, change
filters, fix doors, install bollards, etc.
Organize front office operations and in compliance with workplace safety
and company policies Inspect and maintain building systems as necessary.
Assist with the development of the maintenance budget and work to ensure
compliance to it.
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including distributing mail,
Creating POs, and ordering supplies.
Ensure issuance of proper badge and maintain visitor logs.
Maintain neatness of lobby, reception, and breakroom areas, and general
office cleanliness Participate in coordination of project with various
groups.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Responsible for outside contractor training program and compliance while
working at Proterra.
Manage waste disposal programs, both hazardous and non-hazardous as well
as Zero Waste Certification
Manage our 3rd party security team and Janitorial crew.
Be responsible for tracking, filing, and auditing the site for compliance
for all things relating to Safety, Environmental aspects, and ISO
requirements.
Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be part of the Manufacturing team that supports
Proterra's Manufacturing, Engineering and all departments located in our
Burlingame facility.
You will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing and collaborate
with all other team members located at the facility.

Your Experience Includes:
Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
Experience as maintenance supervisor or similar supervisory role
Knowledge of health and safety practices, policies, and regulations
Understanding of budget and performance management
Strong planning and leadership abilities
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes: mechanical assembly,
electrical assembly, fabrication, welding, painting and composites, and
support functions
Physical Demands:
May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
Usage of standard hand tools, equipment, and machines
Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
Environmental Demands:
Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
