Job Description
As a ServiceNow Architect you will lead and oversee the technical aspects of
the ServiceNow platform. Rockwell Automation is creating a new center of
excellence for ServiceNow and this architect role will oversee the technical
architecture design, create and maintain development standards, and work
closely with ServiceNow to understand the ServiceNow roadmap and incorporate
it into Rockwell's ITSM maturity model.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with the ServiceNow support team to be aware of incidents and
requests in order to provide level 3 support and engage ServiceNow vendor
support for complex issues
Lead the end to end upgrade process
Designs, defines and implements complex ServiceNow requirements for
customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems
Determines ServiceNow specifications, input/output processes and working
parameters for hardware/software compatibility including asset discovery
Coordinates design of subsystems and all integration to/from ServiceNow
Responsible for the ServiceNow architecture; developing and maintaining
system integration governance
Serve as the technical engineer for any new functionality to be
implemented in the system
Own the ServiceNow development capability; create and implement automation
capabilities within the ServiceNow platform and support team
Identify and pursue opportunities for automation within incidents and the
service catalog
Work with various stakeholders including business stakeholders, capability
teams and leadership to remove barriers, minimize business disruptions,
seamlessly fulfill requested services, and promote a delightful customer
experience
Consult and train IT teams as a ServiceNow ambassador to broaden the
understanding of the service lifecycle with a key focus technical
governance
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills Required:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or
related field OR certification or equivalent experience in the following:
ServiceNow System Administration or Developer
Application Specialist or Architect
7+ years experience in supporting ServiceNow ITSM through administration,
configuration, development and upgrades
2 + years architecture experience preferably in a large multinational
corporation
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow software development methodology
Experience with ebonding to the ServiceNow platform
Experience with integrations (SOAP, REST, and JSON)
Knowledge of XML, Java, JavaScript, HTML or possess scripting capabilities
ITIL Foundations V3 or V4 Certification
Ability to work well with a remote team
Experience working across multiple vendors and managed service providers
Experience/Skills Desired:
Lean IT Six-Sigma Certifications
Experience with Agile SAFE Methodology
Demonstrated success in continual service improvement (ITIL CSI
Certification a plus)
Data analytics
