  • Summary

    Coordinate automotive and equipment repairs between Fleet Services and user departments or outside vendors.

    Essential Functions

  • Perform service advisory duties including: service writing, scheduling vehicles for repair, clerical duties related to service desk and handling customer complaints.
  • Assign repair work to technicians.
  • Order and maintain parts for vehicle repair
  • Notify departments when service is completed.
  • Create or close work orders.
  • Monitor, assess, and distribute work loads.
  • Coordinate parts pick up for technicians. Post repair status changes on vehicles and equipment on the computer.
  • Operate computer terminals to maintain records.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Qualifications

    Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional one to three years of clerical experience with a preferred 3-6 months of automotive experience; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following”

    Physical Exam Required

    Valid Current Texas Driver's License

    Knowledge and Abilities

    Knowledge of:

  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance and shop operations.
  • Use of business computers and software.
  • Automotive parts and supplies
  • Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Operate computers and related software.
  • Provide effective customer service.
  • Order and maintain automotive parts
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, and kneel during the shift.
  • Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, and other inclined surfaces.
  • Occasionally push and pull objects.
  • Occasionally flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially flex at the knees.
  • Occasionally rotate upper turnk to the left or right while sitting or standing.
  • Frequently place arms above, at, and below shoulder height.
  • Coordinate eye, hand, and foot movement in order to operate a vehicle.
