Your Role:

As a Senior System Quality Engineer , you'll be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to build best in class vehicles. You will play a leading role in supporting and execute all incoming, inline, and outgoing quality for the Hanford manufacturing facility. You will work collaboratively with various engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop high quality processes enabling the best product, risk analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for supporting and leading the organization in its' drive towards optimum quality compliance to site as well as corporate quality system standard and automotive quality system requirement, while adhering to efficient and lean principles. The role will be responsible for working with the wider organization to ensure the effective and compliant implementation of the site Quality System Management and will prepare the site to demonstrate this compliance during regulatory and quality audits. The role will also work across-site to lead and implement several projects that will transform the operating practices and systems of this Quality Management System.

In addition, you can also look forward to the following:

  • Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
  • Manage all quality-related issues within the company (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system standards (IATF16949/ISO9001)
  • Write product test procedures and assist with training in quality system awareness.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
  • Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
  • lead external Quality System audits, and organize and manage the company internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system and
  • Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Quality control of work by appropriate reviews and audit
  • Support and lead quality system and process improvement activities
  • Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients.
  • Undertake continuous training and development of the total quality system management.
  • Independently determine approach and assigned tasks Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related relevant equivalent experience
  • Overall 5+ years of Quality system and control experience
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated.
  • Computer literate in Windows-based database programs and MS Office products
  • Formal problem-solving training required (i.e. Six Sigma, Red X)
  • Auditing experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering degree preferred
  • Experience with industry standard development and/or automation tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, etc).
  • Annual Salary Range:

    ($100K-$125K), plus benefits and incentive plans
