Working at CQUniversityThe Research Division oversees and manages CQUniversity's research activities to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. The School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences research activities focus on national research priorities that are important for social, environmental, and economic well-being, both nationally and globally. Majority of research is conducted in partnership with local, state and federal governments, industry and other organisations with a particular focus on regional needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Officer to join our team to contribute towards the research effort of the Agri-tech Education and Extension team at CQUniversity. This role is fundamental to the effective coordination of research activities and engagement with a range of agricultural education and extension activities. You will develop and deliver agricultural education activities as part of research projects and work to develop and maintain key industry partnerships. Regular domestic travel will be required.

Position Requirements• Possession of a research higher degree; or equivalent research experience in the discipline of agriculture education, STEM education or agriculture • Demonstrated ability to conduct research under limited supervision, either as a member of a team or, where appropriate independently and a willingness to apply for external research grants and contracts. • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and in multidisciplinary teams as well as with external stakeholders where required. • Proven ability to undertake research, demonstrating expertise and skills in qualitative and/or qualitative research methods including analysis and interpretation, and experience in the preparation of research reports and papers.
