FTE: 1.0 FTE (Working 37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: 6 months
Salary: UH6 £31,396 – £37,099pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 37 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
The Particle Instruments & Diagnostics group requires a person to develop experimental techniques, and record data from their novel aerosol detection and classification technologies.
Skills and experience required
The candidate will have experience with aerosol science, light scattering techniques in relation to aerosol, experimental techniques (especially those applied to aerosols), and the interaction of light with small particles.
From your prior experience in research groups, you will be able to; plan and manage your activities effectively, apply a methodical approach with attention to detail, conduct literature searches in the relevant field, and have good time management, communication, and IT skills.
Qualifications required
A minimum of an undergraduate honours degree in a relevant discipline Or equivalent level qualification
