About the Role:
The Examinations & Academic Appeals Service within the Academic Registry provides a challenging environment for self-motivated individuals seeking to further develop their professional careers. You will plan and co-ordinate the administration of ARU's examinations and administer and support the exceptional circumstances (mitigation), academic appeals and academic misconduct functions, advising academic and senior staff on the interpretation of ARU's Academic Regulations accordingly. You will be responsible for the administration of data systems on which staff and students rely. You will also work with other Services within the Academic Registry, affording you the opportunity to diversify your skills and HE knowledge base.
With a degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level, you will have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a pressurised environment and demonstrate attention to detail. Experience of committee work, familiarity with academic procedures and/or database systems would be an advantage.
Like much of ARU, the Academic Registry works on an agile basis – a mixture of office and home-based working and we can accommodate a variety of preferences in this regard.

The origins of the university can be traced back to the year 1858 when John Ruskin founded the Cambridge School of Art.
