Your Role:
As the Senior Quality Manager , you'll be expected to provide leadership,
guidance and strategy directions in matters related to all facets of Quality
(supplier quality, manufacturing and in use). You'll lead and work with some
of the industry's brightest minds to plan, develop and implement Quality
standards for product development, production manufacturing processes, from
raw material through supply chain to goods received, vehicles shipped and
serviced in the field of Faraday Future Electric Vehicle Programs.
Responsibilities:
Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality
control processes and train employees in the analysis of basic causes of
customer complaints and returns and participate in initiating corrective
action.
Create quality inspection instructions and operating procedures for new or
changed processes, as well as rework instructions for non-standard
operations and leads continuous improvement of manufacturing quality and
standards/metrics. Maintain accurate up-to-date inspection and test
records as prescribed by the quality plan.
Thorough understanding of IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA/Control Plan, SPC,
GRR, GDT, and Corrective/Preventive Action and other US and Global
Automotive Standards
Interpret standards, specifications, quality requirements, and quality
planning for in-plant customer inspections.
Conduct feasibility assessment and set Quality targets, then manage their
system-level cascade into the whole organization. Lead cross-functional
teams to drive plant level product, process, and system improvements.
Lead the development and documentation of quality system and process best
practices for design, craftsmanship, perceived quality, hardware
development, and vehicle target setting and validation.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations,
Supply Chain, R&D, etc. to ensure that processes and training methods are
aligned with overall vehicle quality goals.Lead in-plant problem-solving
teams, using data-driven methodologies to ensure issue resolution
including root cause investigations and the development, implementation
and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to ensure that
processes and training methods are aligned with overall vehicle quality
goals.
Lead communication of quality performance, investigations, and corrective
actions
Serve as primary escalation point of contact for quality issues.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical,
Electrical, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing etc.)
10+ years of experience in the automotive and/or EV industry and Minimum 5
years' experience in Quality Management in a multi-shift automotive
manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience of Automotive Quality Manufacturing standards.
Familiarity with key automotive quality metrics, KPIs, and consumer
reports
Quality Management experience in body, painting and assembly manufacturing
serving the automotive
Experience with Overall company quality system architect, R&D quality +
design quality (engineering related), Software quality, Supply chain
quality, MFG quality, UES quality (including after sales quality)
Experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes.
Experience in new product development and launch activities.
Experiences with the finished vehicle audit, Lead auditor certification
preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across
technical and business teams globally.
Detail oriented, ability to effectively handle multiple priorities,
flexibility to reorganize and reschedule work on short notice to meet
tight deadlines, have a strong quality mindset, and enjoy working in a
team environment.
Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Global Manufacturing automotive market
5+ years of experience in leadership roles in automotive
engineering/Quality organizations
Proven expertise in leading quality organizations
Annual Salary Range:
($145K - $180K), plus benefits and incentive plans
