Senior Quality Inspection Engineer

Your Role:

As a Senior Quality Inspection Engineer , you'll be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to build best in class vehicles. You will play a leading role in supporting and execute all incoming, inline, and outgoing quality for the Hanford manufacturing facility. You will work collaboratively with various engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop high quality processes enabling the best product, risk analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the “eyes of the customer” with respect to final vehicle.
  • Assess whole vehicle functionality (static & dynamic)
  • Lead regular reviews with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality
  • Ensure any issues that would affect customer or vehicle functionality are escalated in an appropriate manner.
  • Coordinate issue resolution internally
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance & conformity for all activities involved.
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality environment of automotive industry.
  • Experience with monitoring and managing vehicle quality audit KPI.
  • Experience in identifying quality improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • A diverse skillset including component design, quality systems, manufacturing systems and SPC
  • Creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, define plans to achieve goals, create timelines and provide status reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
  • A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering field.
  • Driving license “B category” for at least 10 years
  • VW Group auditor certification, or other recognized OEM
  • A diverse skillset including quality systems, manufacturing systems and expertise in key quality tools: IATF/16949, FMEA, Control plan, APQP, PPAP etc. And ability to work with and develop quality performance metrics.
  • A wide range of experience with CAD, Tools Net, JIRA, or other industry relevant software
  • Strong background in manufacturing, quality control and audit methodology.
  • Annual Salary Range:

    ($100K-$125K), plus benefits and incentive plans
