  • About the Role

    The Senior Global Mobility Officer is a key player in maintaining the University's compliance with immigration and global mobility regulations. They provide expert guidance on relocation, visas, and mobility to staff, candidates, and visitors, while also streamlining services with mobility providers to enhance accessibility. This role actively supports the implementation of University policies and seeks continuous improvement in the global mobility support experience.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide essential support to ensure high-quality global mobility outcomes for the University and candidates, collaborating with various HR teams.
  • Serve as the University's immigration and global mobility contact, handling data, reporting, and external interactions as needed
  • Play a key role in implementing the Global Mobility Framework across the University, including building stakeholder understanding of immigration and mobility issues
  • Maintain compliance across visa types, work closely with HR teams, and continuously improve immigration and mobility services and policies
  • Who we are looking for

    We are seeking an individual that has strong skills in interpreting complex agreements, effective communication, negotiation, and creative problem- solving. They should embrace a culture of continuous improvement, be open to developing global mobility processes, and align with core values of service excellence and collaboration.

    You will also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Working knowledge of employment law as relevant to hiring and selection processes
  • Understanding of the recruitment process and the employee lifecycle within a large complex organisation
  • Experience in delivering strategic advice relating to relocation and immigration
  • Familiarity in interpreting legislation, professional advice and updating relevant guidelines, processes, and frameworks to reflect changes

    The Talent Services team provides specialist recruitment services to the university. Supporting both Academic and Professional roles, the team provide best-practice expertise for the hire of internal and external staff both nationally and internationally. The Global Mobility team maintains a visible immigration and mobility framework for compliance with employment and visitor obligations. The Talent Services team and this role sit in the HR Services Group, providing other specialist and transactional support across the employee lifecycle including HR administration, payroll, and travel services.
