Job description

We require a senior administrator to provide excellent support to the Dean and the School Management Team, and to line manage the research support team.

Loughborough is a top 10 UK University and the School has a reputation within industry and academia for research excellence and producing highly trained, well-educated and professional engineers. The School Management team is led by the Dean and is responsible for the overall success of the School.

The successful candidate will have a good level of experience in an administrative or professional role, ideally in an HE setting. They will bring a sound knowledge of administrative systems and the ability to lead a small but dedicated team of administrators.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage staff and should show enthusiasm for providing first-class support to senior staff. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal with a wide variety of people at all levels using judgement, diplomacy and tact.
