Responsibilities

Writing SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers.

Designing and creating SQL based reports.

Designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

Work with other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices.

Help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

Prepare documentations and specifications.

Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc

Provide mentoring/training for junior members if any.

Perform other tasks assigned by the Leader/ Manager.

Qualifications

General requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Good English communication skill.

Good for logical thinking and problem solving.

Ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Digital Thinker, Product Mindset, Can-do attitude, and Adaptable.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, communicate effectively with team members and management.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Technical requirements:

3+ years of relevant experience working with SQL databases.

Proficiency in SQL programming and database management, including expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.

Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Experience with database design, normalization, and performance tuning.

Nice to have:

Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.

Knowledge of database security best practices and data encryption.

Experience with BI (Business Intelligence) tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and data manipulation (Python, Java, C#, R or Shell Scripting)
