Senior Associate Director, Kettle's Yard
This is an opportunity to be the lead fundraiser for one of the most extraordinary art galleries in the UK. Kettle's Yard was created through one couple's incredible vision and philanthropy, giving not only their collection but their home to the University of Cambridge. This allowed that vision to grow into what today is a major centre for modern and contemporary art in the U.K. Built on the foundations of what Jim and Helen Ede created, it is a space where everyone can belong, be creative and find enjoyment through art.
Kettle's Yard believes that great art should not be the privilege of the few, but for everyone. Their values reflect Kettle's Yard's creator Jim Ede's support for artists and belief in art's power to make us look again and change how we act in the world. It has an international reputation for its programmes that includes concerts of new and classical music and an extensive and diverse programme of learning and community activities.
Major opportunities exist to develop Kettle's Yard through philanthropic investment in collection development, engagement programmes and work with contemporary artists research as well as the desire to strengthen Kettle's Yard's foundations through increasing its permanent endowment.
Reporting to the Director of Development, Culture and Collections, University Development & Alumni Relations, the post holder will be on Kettle's Yard's Senior Leadership Team and work closely with the Director and senior colleagues to develop Kettle's Yard's philanthropic priorities.
The position of Senior Associate Director, Kettle's Yard, is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making arts accessible to all and is motivated by the opportunity to have a big impact on this unique and special institution.
