Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Senior IS Architect to join our Business Intelligence team.

This position is remote. (If you prefer and are local you can work a hybrid schedule out of Epson America's headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA.)

The Sr. IS Architect is responsible for the management of Enterprise Architecture across the Americas.

The primary responsibilities of the IT architect include:

  • Own business intelligence architecture and platforms including BW, Business objects development as well as Data Visualization projects (definition, documentation, roadmap for current and future state, annual)
  • Resolves technical issues in areas of ownership
  • Ensures that all parts of the technical design are correctly incorporated
  • Defines the development tools and environment
  • Hands-on problem identification, problem resolution and problem documentation and communication.
  • Design, build, test and deploy Business Intelligence technical solutions
  • Provides technical support and quality control leadership through all stages of operations and projects
  • Lead role in the selection, evaluation and implementation of necessary vendors and technologies
  • Produce weekly status report in area of ownership, taking accountability and ownership for deliverables and commitments aligned with weekly SLA's for Defects, change requests, projects
  • Cover the BPC Business users across multiple countries – collaborating closely and be a primary escalation point and local go to person for support
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Finance or Management or equivalent experience
  • 12+ Years of experience in Business Intelligence
  • Experience in building a robust data warehouse in SAP HANA / Snowflake
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Experience with Data visualization tools like Power BI
  • Good understanding of dimensional modeling
  • Experience in using ETL tools like Informatica or SAP Data Services
  • Knowledge of business processes in SAP
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, logical and problem solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies by self-learning
  • A high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP (Native) HANA data modeling,
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP BW powered by HANA and BW4HANA features, among others, standard and custom SAP BW Extractors, complex transformations, advanced DSOs, composite providers, exposing BW models as HANA views, mixed scenarios, HANA Analysis process in BW and LSA ++ best practice and performance optimization concepts.
  • Experience with administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving technical problems arises from the technical development.
  • Experience required with capturing and documenting non-functional requirements, interpreting non-technical requirements, defining the architecture, preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals.
  • Knowledge of business processes in Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Python, R
  • Knowledge of dbt
  • The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $161,681 and $209,234. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
