The Role

The key focus of the Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable position is to review account payable tasks ensuring the compliance with accounting standards, principles, local tax laws and regulations as well as university's policies and procedures.

Monitor the payment procedures performed by Accounts Payable and conduct review process to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendor, customer, staff, authority.

Skills and Experience

  • Intensive accounting knowledge and working background in similar position (from at least 03 years) in a medium to large multi-national organisation, or 03 years audit experience in Big4 firms;

  • Demonstrated good experience in using and applying accounting principles and standards, tax laws and regulations and internal control;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of current tax regulation (Value Added Tax, Personal Income Tax, Foreign contractor tax and Corporate Income Tax).

  • Ability to work independently while demonstrate strong teamwork and team leadership with a flexible approach to the work environment. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise completing demands;

  • Commit to a high-quality customer service approach within the workplace.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external clients, in order to identify and solve problems causing non-compliance

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using accounting software such as ERP system and standard Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word.
