Applications are invited for a temporary Assistant Researcher post (1 year) at the Institute of Biology Bucharest, Romania in a project funded by European funds. This post is part of the European research project SOB4ES:

https: // ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/h…) on the contributions of soil biodiversity to ecosystem services and sustainable land management. The project consortium comprises 17 EU partners and 2 associated partners. This post will mainly contribute to the assessment of soil communities, ecological network analysis, data compilation tasks, and review of the literature on soil biodiversity management.

Tasks and responsabilities

In particular, his/her contribution may include the following non-exhaustive list of tasks:

Conduct an extensive field sampling campaign

Process soil samples for physico-chemical, faunal analysis (using SoilBON Foodweb methodology), with a focus on microarthropods

Contribute to data extraction and compilation tasks

Conduct soil biodiversity network structure analysis

Review relevant literature on soil biodiversity management

Participate in the elaboration of scientific and technical reports of the project

Elaborate studies, original scientific articles, either individually or as a coordinator or collaborator

Participate in dissemination of the project results in scientific conferences

Availability to travel; attend international meetings as required.

legalized copies of documents certifying the level of studies (baccalaureate diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree or equivalent, accompanied by the transcript) and other documents certifying the performance of specializations;

legalized copy of the work book and copy-extract from the General Register of Employees, to prove seniority (if applicable);

criminal record according to which he has no criminal record;

medical certificate attesting to the corresponding state of health issued no later than 6 months prior to the contest by the candidate's family doctor;
