Science Communicator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

This role will support dissemination and communication on policy, scientific and educational activities for the AIMS-2-TRIALS consortium. The role will work with the Project manager/ Research associate, AIMS-2-TRIALS Autism Community Engagement Co-ordinator and Director of the Autism Research Centre in Cambridge and collaborators across the Consortium (UK, EU and beyond) to produce and disseminate materials.

Key aspects of the role: 1) Update and produce dissemination/communication materials and distribute to a range of audiences including the general public, clinicians, stakeholders (e.g. autism community, charities, policy regulators, government organisations, and consortium collaborators). This includes updating and writing content for the AIMS-2-TRIALS website and producing project newsletters. 2) Planning and organisation of events and materials with the aim of education (including webinars, workshops, online training, videos etc.) 3) Ensure grant activities are appropriately publicised within the consortium and to the general public.

Applicants should possess a good first degree (2(i) of higher) in science communication or relevant experience alongside a degree in Psychology, Medical Sciences, or a related degree. Applicants should demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, experience communicating scientific information to a range of audiences and in different formats and experience of online events organisation.

The role is based in Cambridge with hybrid remote working optional, for those that would prefer.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 May 2025 in the first instance.

22 hours part-time. (60% FTE)
