The School of Public Health and Community Medicine, at the Institute of Medicine, conducts extensive education and research in global public health, general practice/family medicine, occupational medicine, environmental medicine, social medicine, medicine use and pharmaceutical policy. We also conduct education and research within nutritional epidemiology, insurance medicine, innovation and utilization, health economics, biostatistics and register epidemiology. We are developing interdisciplinary work on the UN´s Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on SGD 3 (health) and 8 (economical growth).
The Environmental medicine and toxicology research group has a focus on the relation between the occupational and general environment and human health, using observational epidemiological methods, interventional studies as well as experimental methods. The research group is involved in both national and international collaborative projects. The present project focuses on occupational heat stress exposure, evaluation of workplace prevention and health outcomes, and pathophysiological mechanisms for kidney damage.
DutiesYou work independently with study design, data acquisition, advanced biostatistical analyses, and scientific publication within ongoing and planned projects in Sweden and abroad. You are expected to get own grants. You independently work with scientific publication and dissemination of results. You participate in teaching and tutoring of basic level, master, and doctoral students.
