The University of Bath School of Management is looking to appoint an Administrator to support the smooth running of the busy and expanding Research Office.
The Research Office is run by the Head of Research Operations who will provide line management, however, you will also receive guidance from the Associate Dean for Research and will work closely with all members of the research office team.
You will operate as first point of contact for the Research Office, so will deal with a wide range of queries, either answering them yourself or forwarding on to the appropriate team member. You will become an integral contact point for faculty members within the School.
The role involves managing the School Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee and the various responsibilities which fall within this structure, including:
You will also assist in organising research seminars and events, updating event webpages and liaising with various stakeholders throughout the School and wider University on Research matters.
This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with academic staff, other School and University teams, and our Visiting Academics.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and confident speaking to a variety of people, who has excellent organisational skills, who can manage their own workload and effectively prioritise and multi-task. The ability to learn quickly and to form effective working relationships in the School are also key pre-requisites of the post.
