Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance.
A postdoctoral position is available working on a collaborative project between the group of Sir David Klenerman FMedSCi FRS at the Department of Chemistry Cambridge University and Mr Richard Mair at CRUK, Cambridge. The project will develop assays for the early detection of cancer based on detection of P53 aggregates in human biofluids. This position will be based within the Department of Chemistry. The project involves measuring the P53 protein aggregates present in serum and plasma samples of control and cancer patients using sensitive single molecule immunoassays.
Applicants must have experience in single molecule imaging and super- resolution imaging and previous experience of imaging P53 aggregates. Candidates should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in a relevant discipline.
