Job Title Research Assistant – Innovations in Nutrition Programs

Department Rehabilitative Sciences - 21755 Pay Grade Job Category Temporary Job Summary

The Department of Rehabilitative Sciences is seeking applications for a Research Assistant for the Innovations in Nutrition Program. This position reports to the Principal Investigator (PI) in the Department of Rehabilitative Sciences and will be responsible for the following duties:

Attend curriculum facilitator training sessions.

Assist with recruitment and enrollment of older adult participants, as well as youth volunteer participants (note: may require traveling to sites within the Northeast Tennessee region)

Assist with pre- and post-intervention data collection.

Deliver nutrition education sessions via Zoom, following a standardized facilitator guide.

Attend weekly team meetings for ongoing process evaluation of curriculum

Assist with the development of social media posts and moderation of Facebook groups.

Assist with the development of abstracts and manuscripts as needed.

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom, and reporting data systems

Excellent oral presentation and writing skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to work collaboratively with program staff, community partners, and participants

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma

Two years of experience working with clinical or community resource settings or comparable experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (Nutrition, Community Health, or Public Health)

Experience with grant-funded programs or not-for-profit organizations

Salary $20.00/hr
