Research Assistant II in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 523105)

We now invite applications for the captioned post to assist in various projects involving offenders and ex-offenders. These projects address the needs of the offenders/ex-offenders and offer employment opportunities to highly educated, young ex-offenders as part of their rehabilitation.

Duties and Responsibilities

assist in project research and evaluation activities, including literature review, quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis, manuscript write up and project administration

perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in social work, psychology, or other related social science disciplines; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

a strong sense of responsibility and respect for diversity

excellent organizational, communication, and analytic skills

an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)

an aptitude for both quantitative and qualitative research methods would be an advantage

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
