Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Breast Surgery of the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: ) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or above in biochemistry, biological sciences or medical sciences, preferably with experience in molecular biology, cell culture and animal handling. They should be self- motivated and a good team player. Knowledge of database management and analysis, and handling clinical specimens (such as blood and paraffin block tissues) would be an advantage. The appointee will support day-to-day operations of the lab and participate in research projects related to molecular genetics and tumor microenvironment of breast cancer under the supervision of Principal Investigator.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
