Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has opened up in the HR Research Team University College Cork. The Research Assistant-Admin (x2) shall support the effective implementation of all UCC HR policies, practices and university initiatives relating to the researcher employee life cycle. In particular, the post holder shall support the operational implementation of the University Employment and Career Management Structure for Research Staff.

S/he will have a high level of competency in a wide range of computer skills including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and various multimedia. Good educational attainments and qualifications will be an advantage. S/he will be highly motivated with proven organisational skills and a good understanding of university policy, administrative and research systems. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to use initiative are most desirable for this post. The appointee will report to the HR Research Coordinator or his/her nominee. The role of Research Assistant will be further defined and developed as HR Research evolves.

HR Research is an integral part of Human Resources UCC. UCC is the only University on the Island of Ireland to be renewed twice within the European Commission (EC) HR Excellence in Research Award. Through this award UCC is formally acknowledged as a good employer of research staff upholding the principles of the EC Charter and Code. Post Duration: 12 Months

Salary: €30,025 - €39,908 p.a. (IUA Researcher Assistant Salary Scale)
