Middlesex University is launching a new Current Research Information System (CRIS). With one of its modules the CRIS Repository going live, new processes have been introduced, and we therefore wish to appoint a Repository Manager on a permanent contract.

As a member of the Research Support team in LSS, the post holder will manage and develop the (Haplo/Cayuse) University's Research Repository and associated services, systems and support including the provision of training, guidance and advocacy for open access research outputs and research data. You will have experience in the use or management of research repository systems and experience in metadata, bibliographical data or of cataloguing. You will have an interest in, and knowledge of, current issues associated with the management of research outputs in the higher education sector and be well organised and able to work within a small, supportive team. Established in 1878, Middlesex University is a public university that is associated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, Coalition of Modern Universities, and Universities UK. Earlier, the university was known as the Middlesex Polytechnic University. It gained the status of a university in 1992. The university decided to re-structure its academic school to faculties in 2012.

Apart from London, the university has three other campuses in Dubai, Mauritius, and Malta. The campus in London features the neo-Georgian architectural style. In addition to this, the campus comprises bioscience, biomedical science, nursing, and simulation laboratories. The campus features several sports facilities including a fitness center, outdoor courts, football pitches, and tennis courts.

The academic structure of the university comprises three major faculties, namely the Faculty of Arts & Creative Industries, Faculty of Professional & Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Science & Technology. The university offers programs in other subjects that include media, design, performing arts, law, natural science, engineering, mathematics, information science, statistics, and computer science.
