This exciting new role has been created to support and ensure the timely and effective handling of formal investigations for student conduct and complaints casework.

The Registry and Casework Officer (Formal Investigations) will utilise their experience and high-level investigation skills to undertake investigations relating to non-academic student conduct cases (including allegations of bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct) and complex student complaints. Managing their own varied caseload, the role holder will act as the University's lead investigating officer for this area of student casework ensuring that the investigation process is fair and fit for purpose at all levels through the delivery of appropriate guidance and training to internal investigators.

They will also be required to stay up to date with sector best practice, guidance and advice from external bodies such as the Office for Students (OfS), Universities UK (UUK), and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) ensuring that good practice and external guidance is embedded in investigation handling and training where appropriate.

The University of Greenwich was established in 1890 at Woolwich Polytechnic and received its first CGLI certificate in 1892. In 1992, the institution gained the status of a university and was renamed as the University of Greenwich.
