About the Role – You Will:
Inspects and approves incoming parts by confirming specifications,
conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting and processing
unacceptable materials.
Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting
visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to
production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual
and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-
work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes
re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions
and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and
procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and
reading technical publications.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related
results as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be part of the Quality team that supports operations in
Greenville, SC.
You will report to the Quality Engineer and collaborate with other
Quality and Supplier Quality team members located on-site as well as at
our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and the manufacturing facility in Los
Angeles, CA.
About You
Familiarity with stage gate process and quality readiness deliverables,
such as FMEA's, Control Plans, Commissioning, etc.
Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques
to influence at all levels of the organization and active coordination
with other departments.
Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and
discretion.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and
credibility, act with complete integrity, and help others to maintain the
same expected performance standards.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and works under pressure with
tight schedules that may require extra hours to meet deadlines.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Your Experience Includes
High school diploma (two-year technical degree preferred).
One to three years' quality inspector or technician experience
(automotive or other large-scale manufacturing a plus).
A broad overview of technical mathematics including algebra, geometry,
trigonometry, measurement systems, and conversions between various
numbering methods.
The ability to identify, select, and use metrology gauges and instruments.
Application of inspection processes using GD&T and traceability, as well
as implementing testing methods such as destructive/nondestructive,
functionality testing, and hardness testing.
Understand how to optimize quality assurance using basic statistics,
statistical process control (SPC), and process capability analysis (Cp,
Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
A comprehensive overview of quality audits, quality tools/techniques, and
problem-solving tools such as plan-do-check-act (PDCA), define, measure,
analyze, improve, control (DMAIC), and failure mode and effects analysis
(FMEA).
Basic computer skills (Proficient in Microsoft Office Software – Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint)
Documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to understand CAD Drawing.
Functional understanding of GD&T.
