Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Food Technology Osijek is announcing a

PUBLIC VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

for the selection of

one male/female employee into a type I position with the research- teaching title and the corresponding research-teaching employment position of anassistant professor from the scientific area of Biotechnical Sciences, scientific field of food technology, with indefinite-term, full-time employment, at the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek.

All applicants must meet the general conditions stipulated by the Labour Act ("Narodne novine" – the official gazette of the Republic of Croatia No 93/14., 127/17., 98/19., 151/22. and 63/24.).

The applicants for the vacancy must meet the conditions regulated by Article 39., paragraph 1. of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act ("Narodne Novine"- the official gazette of the Republic of Croatia, No 119/22.), Article 123., paragraph 1. of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, special conditions regulated by the Decision of the Rectors' Conference on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of the teaching and research-professional activities in the process of selection for the research-teaching titles ("Narodne novine" – the official gazette of the Republic of Croatia No 122/17 and 120/12), and by Article 13 of the Ordinance on the implementation of the process of selection/re-selection to titles and to corresponding positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text.

Along with the application for the vacancy, the applicants must submit documents according to Form 2 - application for the selection to the research-teaching title and the corresponding position. Form 2 has been published at the website of the Facultywww. ptfos.unios.hr/index.php.

Applicants who are citizens of other countries must submit proof about their knowledge of the Croatian language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).

Persons of both sexes may apply for the vacancy.

If an applicant is entitled to benefits regarding employment according to a specific act, they must specify that right in their application, attach the documents which prove the status used as basis for the employment benefit, a certificate from the Croatian Employment Service issued during the vacancy announcement period as proof about their status as an unemployed person, and proof about the circumstances of the end of their departure from their last employer. All the applicants will be notified about the results of the selection no later than 15 days after it is completed.

By applying to this vacancy, the applicant is granting their permission that all their private information contained in the vacancy application documents may be gathered and processed for the purpose of the vacancy selection procedure, pursuant to the regulations that regulate the protection of personal data, particularly the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
