Description

This Program Manger position will reside in the Dean's office at the College of Pharmacy.

This position will manage the daily operations and carry out administrative activities for ongoing programs and activities of the College of Pharmacy Dean's Office. These programs/activities may include activities and administrative functions related to building and facilities maintenance, college policies and procedures review, and student and alumni relations/events.

Some of the essential duties and responsibilities are:

  • Plans, develops procedures, and coordinates small or medium-sized programs and events.
  • These may include activities and administrative functions related to building and facilities maintenance, college policies and procedures review, and student and alumni relations/events.
  • Develops a detailed portfolio of college events for which the employee is responsible.
  • Works with Executive Administrative Assistant to oversee program and cost expenditures and ensures adherence to budgets.
  • Processes monthly P-Card transactions in the GCMS system for Personal P-card. Maintain receipts and proper documentation for each card.
  • Prepares and processes gift transmittal documentation and thank you notes
  • Develops and prepares acknowledgements, reports, correspondence, proposals, and informational and solicitation materials for various college development activities under the guidance of the college development officer.
  • Books and processes travel for IT department, communications manager, and others within the Dean's office as directed.
  • Schedules, reviews work and evaluates the use of PharmD Student Monitors for after-hours oversight of PharmD student building use and develops and maintains a spreadsheet regarding room usage and PharmD Monitor activities.
  • Participates and assists the Executive Associate Dean with coordinating building maintenance and management issues. May serve as property custodian for the department.
  • This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule working up to 2 days remotely.

    The department is willing to accept Experience in lieu of Education.

    Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes. Job Duties:

  • Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
  • Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
  • Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
  • May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
  • Reviews reports of budgets and activities. Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
  • May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
  • Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
  • May serve as property custodian for the department.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors and No experience

    Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: No experience required.

    Salary: 3,442.00 - 4,388.00
