The School of Humanities and Heritage is inviting applications for a 0.3 FTE Professor in Medieval Studies, who will contribute to developing the reputation of Medieval Studies at Lincoln through their research, successful income generation, experience supervising post graduate students, and their international connections. This is an appointment on the Teaching and Research (TR) pathway on a fixed term contract of 4.5 years, with annual review.
The successful applicant will be joining a vibrant community of medieval scholars and will contribute to the PGT and PGR programmes in Medieval Studies. The school is particularly interested in candidates whose research builds upon the area of the Anglo-Norman world, aristocratic and royal networks, gender, social relationships, connections between England and other parts of the medieval world, and whose research relates directly to the history or cultural heritage of medieval Lincoln/Lincolnshire. Interest in the development of the Digital Humanities is also desirable.
This position is for a senior scholar of international reputation who has a proven record of high quality publications, grant capture, collaboration, and PGR supervision. It is expected that the role at the University of Lincoln will be the successful candidate's sole focus.
