In this position
This is a highly technical role leading teams responsible for creating and
delivering an engineering strategy focused on providing APIs and data
products supporting Ford Credit customers and their various accounts
The systems you will be interfacing with are internal facing, fulfilling
the needs of enterprise clients who consume functionality provided by Ford
The role will support growing the capabilities of the Ford Credit
foundational platforms, enable engineering teams within Ford Credit and
Ford Motor Company to interact with Credit systems on behalf of customers,
and provide guidance and coaching on building domain-centric services and
platform capabilities through high-quality engineering and operational
What you'll do
Execute a strategy for providing APIs and data products for the Customer
Engage enterprise customers and analytics teams to create sustainable
operating model for using operational and analytical customer and accounts
Deliver amazing experiences for internal customers guided by Lean
Build a learning organization powered by DevOps principles
Champion a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback,
15+ years of large-scale development practices, including critical and
resilient systems, high volume / low latency design and integration
patterns, and a strong product-driven focus. Practical experience or
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related
field is ideal.
12+ years of relevant work experience designing, building, and operating
10+ years of experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams
10+ years of experience supporting cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS,
7+ years of CI/CD platform experience
10+ years of experience building platforms to enable engineering success
Experience building platforms with regulatory programs in mind (PCI,
SOC12, SOX, etc)
Even better, you may have
Extensive experience creating evolutionary architectures which support
reactive, distributed, secure, performant, service-oriented systems
Demonstrable experience in implementing complex systems using Domain
Driven Design, Distributed System Patterns, and Event Driven Architectures
via Behavior Driven Development and Design Thinking techniques.
Experience Creating modern cloud-native systems optimized for state
management and domain-tailored queries (ideally using Event Sourcing,
CQRS, and bespoke projection models).
Facilitating code and design reviews with actionable outcomes for
teammates and coordinating teams.
Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, architects,
Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong program management and strategy deployment experience
