The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a part-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in the Sustainable Development and Resilience of Coastal Communities in the UK (ROCC) project. The project is funded by the UKRI Strategic Priority Fund on Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources. Its aim is to build knowledge and know-how to enhance the resilience of marine resource-users to environmental, regulatory and socio-cultural change while also improving wellbeing and reducing impacts on the marine environment. This role is affiliated to work-package two which is using oral history and archival methods to examine how diverse marine resource-users responded to change and disturbance in the past. Specifically, this role will support analysis of the oral history data, including data collected in collaboration with Natural England as part of their Marine Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment programme. TThe successful applicant will join the work-package two team and lead on the Natural England collaboration.

The successful applicant will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority in marine social science and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies.
