The requirements to be met by the candidate (detailed description of the knowledge, qualifications, skills, and professional experience). • Ph.D. degree in any one of the following fields: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, (or other related fields). • Good practical and theoretical knowledge of techniques for working with electrode materials, reactor designs, CO2 conversion, membranes, and biopolymers. • Practical knowledge of biopolymer separation techniques, and experience in HPLC, and GC techniques. • Prior experience in the optimization of biotechnological processes will be considered as valuable asset. • Great work capacity and enthusiasm for research. • An active participation in scientific groups, societies, and conferences. • Fluency in spoken and written English. The working language is English. • Publications in international peer-reviewed journals. • Experience in supervision of Master's and Ph.D. projects 2. 3. Description of the expected responsibilities and duties. • Design and optimization of bioreactors for the microbial PHAs production process; • Renewable energy driven Bio-electrochemical reactor integration; • Investigation of the influence of internal/external stress factors on the production of PHAs in the continuous operation of the integrated system. • Optimization of PHA bio-separation conditions
