Offer Description

The to-be-recruited postdoctoral researcher will work on the Identification of bacterial-derived antigens and epitopes recognized by Tregs lymphocytes; will test the antigens on intestinal organoids and will evaluate preclinical and regulatory data for cell therapy, that corresponds to the tasks of a workpackage in the European project HORIZON-HLTH-2022-DISEASE-06-two-stage: Gut Microbiota-Induced Tregs for Inflammatory-Bowel-Disease (IBD) Immunotherapy (MITI2).

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Identify antigenic targets of class II-restricted Treg lymphocytes using an unvaluable collection of over 100 F. prausnitzii -specific Treg clones.

Gene sequence alignment approaches of the various tested strains recognized or not by Treg clones

Use overlapping peptides (20 by 10 amino acids) to screen libraries

Confirm treatment and natural presentation of recognized antigens

Assessing patients' recognition of antigenic peptides

Making ELISAs and performing tests on organoids

Using sorted and amplified cells as therapeutic drugs

Produce deliverables

Disseminate and promote technological results and achievements in the form of reports, patents, publications and oral presentations.

Skills/Qualifications

Good knowledge of cell and molecular biology: 2D, 3D culture and with purified antigen, multi-color flow cytometry, amplification and analysis of peptic sequences.

Good experience in biochemistry: antigen coupling and purification, ELISA and good knowledge of bacteria culture

Perfect command of written and spoken English

Working on multi-partner, multi-disciplinary projects

Writing and formatting scientific reports and deliverables

Methodical, organized, rigorous, autonomous

Ability to work in a team and in a European environment

Analytical, synthesizing and writing skills

Good interpersonal and good communication skills, and respect for deadlines
